1939 - 1940 - 5° scudetto dell'Inter

1939/1940: nell'anno dell'inizio della guerra, arriva per l'Inter il quinto scudetto. Il campionato comincia con un sonoro 4-0 sulla Juventus, prosegue con il Bologna  avanti di un punto a metà campionato su Inter e Genova, mentre a una giornata dalla fine l'Inter si trova a un solo punto di vantaggio sulla squadra emiliana. La partita decisiva, Inter-Bologna, si gioca a San Siro. Dopo pochi minuti arriva la certezza della vittoria, con un gol di Ferraris II... il quinto scudetto è assicurato, con un punteggio di 44 punti e 3 di vantaggio sul Bologna.
